secretly unknown

secretly unknown

"

step by step he would

preach to the night

telling it to slow down

saying that it was too short

but secretly he simply

couldnt stand the light.

wave by wave he would

attempt to measure the ocean

telling himself he was

just as large and potent

but secretly he was afraid

and shaking, frozen.

the boy believed he was one with the wind

his parents the sun and moon

fistful of loose screws in comparrison

to the world, but stronger within

so much stronger.
