Just Another Love Song

The lyrics to a love song I wrote. I didn't write music for it though. A friend is doing that part.

The time passes by,

Love grows,

And goes.

At least that’s what people say,

But something within me,

Cannot say the same.

But now this time,

It is mine,

To finally tell you,

 

“As night turns to day,

And day turns to night,

The love that I’m feeling for you,

Grows with all its might.

And if that love can never be,

Reality,

At least know that it’s there.”

 

Others have said,

That true love is dead,

I truly can’t agree,

With that philosophy.

‘Cause what other words,

Can express this wonderful

Cruel,

And yet lovely way,

That I feel,

When I think of you?

At least know that it’s there.”

 

And now,

I know,

What love can really be,

It isn’t something that you see,

Or something you can easily,

Get rid of.

It’s not just for today,

It’s when you can say,

And I think that love will be,

Reality,

And please know I am there…for you.”

Wow, at first i thought it was just a poem, but when i saw the note you left i can see it is a song. If it was alright by you old friend would you mind if i tried to attempt to sing and play the song you wrote? I think i could make it work and of course i would still say you wrote it. Altogether its up to you, but i really do think i could work with it....
