One Man Show

One Man Show

A Poem by Weston R.
"

My April 20th poem for NaPoWriMo 2012

"

The spotlight is shining.
The audience is waiting.
The curtain is ready to fall.

The stage is empty,
Waiting for your cue;
Waiting for your choice.

What shall you do for your performance?
What will you do for your only show?
What act will impress them?

You are the director,
You are the actor, and
You are the star.

So what’ll it be?
The spotlight is on you:
Your chance to shine.

What’ll it be?
The audience is waiting on you:
Your chance to let them hear your voice.

What’ll it be?
The curtain is ready to fall on you:
Your chance to have your one chance.

Stand in the spotlight.
Knock ‘em dead.
Face the curtain with a bow.
