A conversation with bribery

A conversation with bribery

A Poem by Vusi Mxolisi Zitha
"

This is a poem about what bribery is and how it often works

"

A conversation with bribery

A blind man once said; "I may be useless because I can't see, but trust me; though you can see, you are useless for you can't think.

I live in the freedom of my dark world and you live in the prison of your light world.

Though I can't see, I make verdicts based on my interest, you can see but you have no choice of decision, they bribe you to make decisions.

Let me tell you;

I once asked bribery, who are you?

She said; "I am a strong language in the lips of the unjust

A language clearly understood by falsehood

I am a true representative of unlawfulness

But those who despise me calls me corruption

I am me and trust me, I am mean

How do you do it? I asked,

Money speaks on my behalf, she replied

When money talks, everybody pays attention

No one wins a debate competition against money.

Through him I buy justice against the innocent

I buy the law to favour my clients

And Favour hardly rejects any proposal from me

I can buy you to conceal the truth with lies

And an honest man I turn into a snitch

I am bribery, a bad choice often considered.
