A set of words appear before the screen when I’m alone

An inkling of ecstasy I swear I should’ve known

I can hear the melodies of someone who was dead to me
Their voice is like an effigy, a somber saxophone

But I don’t glimmer in gold, cause I’m timid

A sense of commonality is found where we no longer need a voice to tell us how to be, I find that I’m at home
