You've Won

You've Won

A Poem by walking.in.rain

My thoughts swirl around you,
Running wild.
How do you affect me this much?
What have you done?
You've taken my heart.
Stepped on it,
Pounded it,
Ripped it to a thousand shreds,
Left it behind.
A broken treasure,
For one to find.
I still feel though.
You told me once,
How big my heart had grown.
You told me gently,
You said you could see in me,
Things no ones ever seen before.
Trusted me.
As I trusted you.
Now this.
My fragile thoughts gone hard,
Lost I fall,
Confused I run from you,
All I expected gone.
You never followed.
As I thought you would.
As you said you would.
All you said,
Was it lies?
To make me trust you,
A goal,
Only to defeat me in the end.
You win.
I'm down.
You've won your game,
Why pursue me still?
Your blindless reasoning,
Pushes me to the end.
