Haunted

Haunted

A Poem by A Wanderer of Dreams

Can I forget the serene dreams sown
To see reality in an ethereal design?
Can I forget the soothing breaths of peace
To num the lashes on a weakened heart?

To forget is a splendid absurdity
A desire which follows on my heels
Deaf to enraged threats and pointless pleas
This immortal demon will spare flesh alone

wow...I can truly say that this is accurately titled because towards the end, these last lines...

"Def to enraged threats and pointless pleas
This immortal demon will spare flesh alone"

were echoing in my mind.
Truly haunting indeed.
I loved it.
