I remember when we met,

The sun was safely tucked behind a curtain

of dark clouds

confused

down by the creek.

 

So I helped you find your way

Built you up again

I love you

and that you're my best friend ever.

 

You're truly the best dog a boy could have.

This poem is very deep. You tried to make it funny, but I can still see the deepness beneath it. By saying dog, you are calling your girl friend a doog, and and by "wandering confused down my the creek," you ment that your girl friend was "confused" because she was not with you, and she's with other guys.
