In a Field of Sunflowers

In a Field of Sunflowers

A Poem by Brandon S. Whitten
"

Along Waya's journey he comes across the unnamed

"
Near a field of sunflowers I relax by the river
Pluck each petal one by one, he loves me
He loves me not, I remember his touch and shiver
As a cold chill spirals up my spine, a lost memory

I look up with the feeling eyes are watching
Whispers in my ear as the wind blows
Shaking my head, it could be nothing
But intuition tells me to stay alert, then I say 'Hello'

Come out, come out, whoever you are, I repeat
Giggling echoes all around, then a teeny voice claims
We're here right before your eyes, look and see
I tilt my head down, am amazed to witness the unnamed

What are you?, I curiously inquired
We might ask the same of you, she said
Then I say, I'm not sure, after I rose from the fire
I was communicating with the Masters in my head

A interest place and story in the poem. I like how you led to the good ending. The questions of love and life. Are answered with time and chances took. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
