dreaming of you

dreaming of you

A Poem by William Crider

The dream within holding you close
softly kissing you
waking beside you each morning
feels so real yet so far away
when will this dream come true
i do not know but i hope soon
i long for that kiss and that simple touch
i fall every time you say those words
they bring me to my knees
please let this dream come true...

I hope this dream comes true for all of us! I love your use of "those words", the line grew my heart because it knew the answer to the mystery of what "those words" represent :D and it's so clear that the "fall" was in happiness, not despair.

I like how you speak of the object of affection early in the poem, and bring the reader in for the power-play by switching the focus to "I". I truly felt like I was brought to my knees with longing affection for someone unexpected (who I inadvertently inserted into the role of the object of affection) as I read this.

I thank you for such a vivid and powerfully emotional journey!
