I See Nothing!

I See Nothing!

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci
"

a cosmic perspective

"

Nothingness is the embodiment

Of everything

To touch the Whole of Nothing

Is to feel the presence

Of GOD

I fly to the empty void

Seeking the flaming fires

Of my soul

So that I may fuel its blaze

In the stillness and emptiness

Of the nothingness

That surrounds us all

I hear deafening soundless voices

that reside on the outer edges of chaos

My body shakes with dread and wonder

For I sense it’s the voice

Of Nothing

I Tremble, I Cower

I Fear, I Doubt

I Exult, I Praise

I cry a flood of tears

And then emptiness fills me

I must go beyond

The illusions of the mind

Embrace the Stillness

The Everything of Nothingness

I, We, Them, Us

All search in the sea

Of GOD

To quiet our

Restless Minds

Weighted Souls

And

Weary Hearts

As we struggle not to drown

In the tidal wave

Of our doubt

To see Nothing

Is to see the face

Of GOD

And IT

She, He

Is Us

Everything

And

Nothing

I wrote this ten years ago- It was my first real attempt at poetry- I took this out of mothballs and just did a major rewrite but the bones of the original is still intact. I'm like an old mad prophet who likes to howl in the wind....I hope it makes you think on nothing.

God is a universal idea, to those who believe, this is a testimony of loss of faith, to those who believe in nothing at all, it just brings you closer to believe there is nothing at all. We all have our own ideas as to what is in the universe. Your poem flowed like a river, made a lot of sense, well structured, words put into precision. Well written. ks

"To see Nothing /Is to see the face /Of GOD /And IT/ She, He / Is Us/ Everything/ And/ Nothing" - Wonderful!
(...and i have no god but me and all the humanity that lives with me in this place we call Earth, with all their splendor and "evilness"!)

Iteresting piece Bob. It reads like a sermon. I like it.

The amazing thing is that if we replaced GOD's name with Nothing. Imagine the statements we'd hear. I think they'd go like this: This is Nothing's war. I'd die for Nothing. Nothing died for me. "Indivisible, under [Nothing], with liberty and justice for all." May Nothing bless you! lol! Serious implications about our way of life here! As usual, I love it! I swear to Nothing! ;)

Well done as usual Bob.

One day we wll finally see the face of God...and what we see will be glorius...far from the nothing that some believe will be the case.

I can hardly wait!

A good first attempt (and rewrite). A topic I often find myself contemplating as well as debating with others. Well done. Kudos.
