Consumerism

Consumerism

A Poem by whatevs1895

Lick sugar off your thumb.

Taste the sweat from pores.

Taste blood.

Eat fresh-baked bread and feverish spices.

Swallow an entire cube of ice.

Chew herbs twice-dipped,

then taste someone else’s skin.

Drink from a river once.

Sample smog.

Share another’s breath.

Rinse, repeat.
