Gone

Gone

A Poem by Nicole

Gone are the days of being together.

Gone are the days of eating together.

Gone are the days of hanging out.

Gone are the days of talking to you.

Gone are the days of warm hugs.

Gone are the days of sleeping together.

Gone are the days of cuddling together.

Gone are the days of hearing your laugh.

Gone are the days of seeing your warm eyes.

Gone are the days of saying “I’m taken”.

Gone are the days of passing you notes.

Gone are the days of seeing your face.

Gone are the days of our own private world.

Gone are the days of warm little kisses.

Gone are the days of getting to argue.

Gone are the days of being loved!

Now are the days of being alone.

Now are the days of cold cups of coffee.

Now are the days of getting new friends.

Now are the days of dreaming alone.

Now are the days of eating alone.

Now are the days of saying “I’m single”.

Now are the days of passing supporting notes.

Now are the days of being unloved.

Like no other.
