Ghosts

Ghosts

A Poem by Jay Ligda
"

This was written about a woman that has and always has had a certain affect on me. I wrote this poem many years ago as a way to express that affect. I gave it to her as anonymous. She guessed it was from me. It was originally title "What I've Com

"

She's just an apparition
Or so it seems
A vision of loveliness
An intoxicating being
As she oscillates
In and around my life

Alas, like any ghost
When we reach out to touch them
Our hands go right through them
They are not really there

What is this illusion
That invades my mind
Taking over my brain?
Is she just a projection
Of an element
Of my inner being?

A soma to dance with
In a play of creativity
Home, family, service & community
The cyclic pulse of yin & yang
That give rise to "reality"

Alas, like any ghost
When I reach out to touch it
It just disappears
It’s only God that is there

This is strong, and intense. But also subdued.
The way it is written I can almost feel the need you feel to be with the person, but also feel your restraint mingled with desire.

Its beautiful!

It is a fact that we are drawn to those people that present themselves as a subconcious extension of our own manisfestation. We even idealize them and in fact we soon project their lives through our own. Wonderous writing. If the reader will take the time to analyze your thoughts closely, they will soon begin to pick out the individuals they have called ghost. Well done....and enlightening!

I'm a little confused over what is being said during the fourth stanza, but otherwise I really like this piece. I don't have more more to say than that, unfortunately.

I mainly write as a way to clear my mind of unwanted thoughts. Most of it is too personal or rough to publish here, but here is some that I polished up to share. more..
