Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by K.A. Boulter
"

Pantoum-form of Malaysian poetry I thought of this when I went to visit Washington D.C., it's about nature.

"
Clear skies
Green grass
Blue water
So beautiful

Green grass
Turned yellow
So beautiful
Beauty is gone

Turned yellow
By all the death and destruction
Beauty is gone
Stained by industry

By all the death and destruction
All the beauty has been lost
Stained by industry
Let them take back what is theirs

All the beauty has been lost
All the flowers stained black
Let them take back what is theirs
Let them take over all of the abandoned factories

All the flowers stained black
Once were blues and pinks
Let them take over all of the abandoned factories
Let them take back this land

Once were blues and pinks
They are now bright again
Let them take back this land
This land is theirs

They are now bright again
Clear skies
This land is theirs
Blue water
