blue-hearted

blue-hearted

A Poem by highonwords

blue-hearted city
shadows of lost love,
within broken windows,
they refuse to jump
out of tragic faith
heart-dwellers will stay
(death looks like them)
a dim, vaulted sky-mind
holding on to rain,
holding on to you,
as skeletal memories
lean on bones of bitterness,
below pitch pavements,
pain steps on the sound
of breaking glass wounds,
tears forget to stop
at busted red lights,
and wanders around,
the impound lots of hope,
tied and tortured,
with chains of the after
in white tents of forever
