Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Nani

Why do you always have to go?
What happened to all of your hope?
Who came along the way and made you not want to stay?
Do they hold your heart now?
Because I already drowned
In insecurities and wanting you around
But its different now
I dont even want you for myself
Because if you really cared
You would respect my health
Missing you isnt healthy
I cried every night
Over thinking if I did something wrong
Hoping we can get it right
"Its not you, its me."
Thats what you say
But you forgot that its us.
Wheres the we?
Wheres the faith?
Thought about you everyday
Damn you shouldve just stayed
But now Im letting go
Because thinking of you got in the way.

Tragic but beautifully written. Many could relate to this (I certainly can) and your words draw on raw, visceral emotion. Relationships are like glass: once broken, they can be difficult to repair or are never quite the same. Thank you for sharing.
