A Poem by Wilyem Clark

The cicadas expertly play
Nature's glass harmonica:
One sustained note,
A summation of their sexuality
Without climax;
A month-long melodeon recital,
A single key depressed,
A tireless thrumming,
Until all have throbbed
Their hearts' desire,
And then expire.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
