Rain

Rain

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

I will always accept the rain;
I will never regret it.
It heals the wounds of dereliction,
Those droughts of spirit that rot our integrity,
Brought on by pernicious dryness;
It washes away the filth of neglect
And the greasy-glop warpaint of hollow causes;
It nourishes those most in need of relief;
And though at times it may engulf us,
We learn how to float.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
