Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Heather

When do we stop?
How can we?
It hurts to breathe,
knowing what we've lost.
At what cost?

One day it's there,
then gone.
Sunlight smothered by rain clouds.
Death glorified through love, pain.
Nobody ever mentions the strain.

This is a very beautiful poem i have somehow stumbled across on my first day on here. I love the contrast that is delivered between loss and beauty.
Please, check my first poem out if you have the time.
Thank you and well done! :D
