A reverie germinated carrying wishful wishes,
For a world where human is human,
At least for each other, if not for others,
And a dove circling the sky instead of a vulture.
Ever seen the smile of a baby?
Its laugh carrying thousand mysteries unraveled,
And an uncertain future unwritten behind the sweet smile,
Still a present, pure innocent happiness.
Today's street busy with pretentious stretches of lips,
Crowd of forgotten hearts and crooked playful minds,
Steps crushing emotions underneath, turning them wooden,
While playing songs of love and faith in the background.
A beautiful mind had once said,
"Traffic still moves in push and pull,
In the pool of humanity, it shreds to fragments unrecoverable,
But then sparrows tweet at our window, in pairs of lovers."
All the ruminations of a discarded thought,
Self-introspection en-lighted, meanings excavated,
From paths preserving our footsteps of goodness,
Of a soul deterred of its life, now singing silence forever.
