All Alone

A prize to quinfinn for winning my Rainbow of Poetry contest [4th place].

Love is gentle

like a warming

cup of hot chocolate.

Love is kind

like a big hug

on a sad day.

But love is not

always wonderful.

Love can be cruel,

when you find yourself

all alone.

Love can hurt,

when after everything sweet

you're all alone.

Maybe

if love wasn't

so bittersweet...

I wouldn't be

all alone.
