Start Over Again

A prize for Tate Morgan for winning my Rainbow of Poetry contest [5th place].

The wind shook the earth

men looked up in terror

as the world fell apart

Chaos grew ever stronger

the skies became gray

and the sun shone dimmer

But time passed by

and they decided

we will start over again

Every building rebuilt

no rock nor stone untouched

a hardworking community

After every rainfall

a rainbow glows in the sky

After every storm

you can always start over again

Maybe it seems

as though happiness is gone

but you can always laugh, again

Maybe it seems

as though the world is unhappy

but you can always smile

All you have to do

to fix any big problem

is to start over again.
