hidden beneath

hidden beneath

A Poem by Colleen Margot Lee
"

just standing, trying to not be seen, noticing that everything surronding was begging to be notice

"
curtains hidding
forbidden shadows
safely tucked away
meanings
not yet to be exposed.
Bear and frail
come like death
does it stand.
Alone with mirror
shattered glass
fallen
beneath it
Sparkling in the
sky
does it
cry
hoplessness
bouncing earth bound
and back into
the unknown
Exploding.
The unlit
burns more empty
with sinister
glances of doomed
ending

Another powerful work, falling like rain on a dark window... Each image is so visceral, scraping so intensely at the heart and soul. With each phrase you capture so well a sense of hopelessness so many face each day. Profound again!!!
