Forgotten Yesterdays

Forgotten Yesterdays

A Poem by wordsmith

Deep spaces slip between the cracks as a single thought flys by.

Entire months are missing while at the same time hours are never  ending.

Forgetting times of mediocraty as if they served no purpose.

Conversations lost, words reappearing, taking out what is thought as unimportant only to remember a single moment.

A flash passes by and i begin to wonder, what has happened to the past five years of  my life?

Was it a waste or did i just not truly appreciate it.

Focusing on the future as i forget about the present, I stop dead in my tracks as if the emergency brake on my life were just pulled.

Not today, today i will watch everything, wait for nothing and enjoy every moment.

Today i will live as life were meant to be.

One step at a time, one second at a time, one thought at a time.

This is amazing!
I love how complex it is. The words you chose work so well together and flow so perfectly. Stunning work.
