Rainbow

I wrote this shortly after my favorite person passed away.

The brain is an amazing place
When I close my eyes I see your face
The love, the voice, the whisper

Words have no meaning
When within the realm of seeing
The world without my fancy

A glance, a dance, a love song
A misbegotten, head strong
Carefree, spirited Rainbow

I love you more then words can say
I miss you more each passing day
My only wish, is had I known

Your tears I would have held
My pride I would have shelved
To hold you as you are, my Rainbow

So hold the ones you love
Hold them tight, let them know
Share your light, help them grow

And just so that you understand
This place, this land, my Rainbow
Belongs to no one, nothing, no thing

Give to each other
Out of love, unconditional
Expect nothing in return

The brain is an amazing place
Close your eyes, its there
Our shared connection, it forms
