Embrace

Embrace

A Poem by CD

She doesn't breathe, for fear of life
Shut in a box,blinded by a lie
If only she knew,If only she saw
What could be,but isn't at all
Won't somebody show her

Chorus:
Take her hand, and we will go
To a place she had never known
Outside in the real world we will go
Away from the shadows, she had known
With open arms we embrace the pain
She will come out and never be the same
Embrace the life,life,life

Colors and wonders that had always been
Now fill her eyes and mind that had never seen
She laughs with abandon and true happiness
For the new beginning she's found at last
But she will step back, she may turn
Won't somebody show her
The reason she lives
The reason she breathes
Eyes open wide,taking it in
Seeing it differently like it had never been
Too good to be true she wonders
Show her before she falls in the jaded slumber
Under the lies never held from her

New love, new life, new pain, new joy,new peace, overcoming chastise that almost broke her very life
