Road to Rescue

Road to Rescue

A Poem by fallendemonofmercy
"

how far would you go to cleanse your body, soul, mind and spirit of all the many sins you've committed?

"

Snow fell soft,
Gentle, safe
Tangling in her luscious curls
Bouncing
In time with each drop
Pitter patter, splatter splash

Hail fell,
Hard, raw
Stinging her mind
Beating
Against her face
As each tear leaked

Rain fell
Soft, fierce
Breaking all pattern, ending silence
Sliding
Along her chest, tracing every curve
Never forgiving

The wind blew
Cold, cruel
Whipping her, driven by rage
Biting
Freezing her, icy in vain and punishment

It stopped
Confusing, hollow
Roaring deafeningly in her ears
Striking
Her breath was ragged, guttural
She was alive
Apathy forgiven

Redemption was reborn

a rough truth - the road to redemption may be the road less traveled. and that makes it no less right. to stand up is courage - to shun is igorance.

These are my favourite lines...
Tangling in her luscious curls
Stinging her mind
Roaring in her ears
...I think it is the use of great verbs. They make the poem seem very active as if a great struggle is going on.
