![]() Precious ChanceA Poem by fallendemonofmercy![]() an idea that just occured to me after witnessing a fight among 2 teachers - why waste away your life in an endless rythm of tedium that doesn't bring you where you want to go? if they happen upon this i hope they read it and understand - don't let any c![]()
The world is condescending
Hanging by a thread
Waiting to be ripped
By any strong mans hand
And in the balance
Our children
Begging their elders
To make a change
Forget their worries
And let it all rearrange
They see the pit
Deep, dark and dizzying
As it splits wide open
Its mouth razor sharp and gaping
Waiting to swallow the world
A timeless, yummy snack
Then what would matter
If you never took that chance
Now you’re a dead man
If only you’d noticed
Thought to listen
Thought to care
Then we wouldn’t be in this mess
Thick, heavy
Coated with despair
We’d be alive
Attentive enough
To catch that last fiery sunset
That ends every day
One mans toil
Another mans spoil
Have it all laid to rest
For one more beloved day
To precious to waste away
