Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by Isabella Cezanne
"

a poem about love from afar

"
sunshine in her hair
and her smile,
oceans in her
eyes

she is a
sunrise
and a
sunset
all in
one

i ache to
touch her

but the sun
is too far
to touch,
and not always there

the ocean is too vast
and too
powerful
to fully embrace,
the tide bringing it
back
and then
away
again and again

she is sunshine
but for me,
sunshine is too
hard to
grasp
fully

Ah, the hard truth about a distant love, either physically or emotionally. “Too hard to fully grasp” is the essence of this pain. Well written, Isabella.
