A Poem by Sarah Buchanan
"

I don't come here to get "criticized" on the content or subject that I write about. I prefer to get feedback on how I can improve my WRITING. Subject manner is my choice and my opinion. If you don't like it and feel the need to express that I should mo

"

I put review in quotes because
You obviously don't know
What constructive criticism is.
Don't critique a poet’s opinion,
But how it is written.

And for your news,
Cable tv is not a necessity.
So I don't have it.
I don't get my news from "The Daily Show"
Or "The Colbert Report"

I paid very close attention in both,
American Studies and AP Government
Obviously you didn't.
I'm sorry that you're too blind to see
The truth that lies within the American streets.
Where there are broken dreams and broken promises,
Where there are still problems,
But oh wait if it doesn't affect you
Why should you give a s**t?

You know nothing about me,
But yet you try to judge me as some ignorant fool,
When it seems that you're the ignorant one.
Why bother to write such hatred to a poets words?
There's no respect in that.

F**k you, for trying to tell me how I should think.
F**k you for telling me I should move away,
I'm tired of hearing,
"If you don't like it move somewhere else"
Like I don't know life might be harder elsewhere.
But life might be better elsewhere too.
At least some countries know how to take care of their own.

I thought we had freedom of speech,
But as you just proved,
I'm still getting judged for it.
Is it so wrong to want to improve the country you live in.
The country that effects every other country,
Which means there's no escaping it.
No matter where you go,
America affects you.

Why not try to make it better.
Why not fight for what is right
Why settle for crumbs
When you can have the whole cake.

F**k you ignorant fuckers
Don't tell me how I should think.
Don't tell me what to do,
What to write.
I stand for myself,
And my opinions,
As well as the people less fortunate than me.
Anyone who opposes,
You can kiss my a*s.

Sarah Buchanan
I know some of it can use some work, but haven't quite figured out the phrasing. Also the poem that was "reviewed" was "America" which is on here and so are the "reviews".
