Here & Now

Here & Now

A Poem by Danielle Urban

Here and now,
I stand waiting judgement
Nothing is clear
The wind carries faint whispers
calling softly to those with skills
I neither have nor know
But I stand straight and ready
waiting with every breath
of what may come if ever
the time moves ever so slowly
trying me as I debate myself
frustration escaping my lips never
my pleas echoing through the night
displaying those dreams
that have naught come and gone
here and now,
I know this
nothing will hurt more than
not ever knowing
the feelings never explored
are brought back to mind
how many times must i want
before I finally just give up
