I must have enjoyed the movie if it inspired a poem...

One shot, one chance, no last regrets
One dying, one living, no other escape
A child, a name, one final word
One last chance to say their goodbyes.

I think you captured the essence of that scene very well. One of the bravely tragic scenarios. For those that have seen the movie, I think these four lines will be able to clearly see the power that exudes.
