Suburbia

Suburbia

A Poem by Eva Clarkston
"

This poem is dedicated to those who are just as suffocated by living in suburbia as I am.

"

It's not the city,

And it's not the country,

It's where a lot of people have to be,

But it's definitely not for me.

Suburbia

I don't see the benefit,

Of living where nothing matters a bit,

I want to get out of this place,

Where life goes at a boring pace.

Suburbia

I want to get out of here,

To somewhere that can bring me cheer,

I itch to get out as soon as I can,

Somewhere of which I am a fan.

Suburbia

I don't belong there at all,

I can't stand hanging at the mall,

I'm destined for great things,

This place is giving me growing pangs.
