Holes

I wasn't in love with you.

I didn't fall in love with anyone else either.

I guess what happened was that I fell in love with someone else in spite of you

to fill the empty space you left.

(but loving out of spite isn't really loving at all)

Maybe these holes are what it feels like to love,

But I doubt it.
