O’ Mist of Moon

O’ Mist of Moon, arise and unveil the stars for me.
The soul wrenching brume of a werewolf’s night hangs heavy.
Turn my ear to hear not fiend’s howl belch the sound of death.
Rock me to sleep beneath your mesmerizing glow.

O’ Calm of Wind, scatter harbingers of ruin that loom.
Tempestuous gales have wreaked havoc in my domain.
Stroke my brow with your glow as raven flees then in flight.
Slip I into a dimension that masks evil’s spell.

O’ Serene of Night, do not leave me as I slumber.
May Luna soothe me as tendrils of worry depart.
Hush doleful mantra and oust viscid web of spider.
Usher eternal tranquility to my demesne.

O’ Comfort of Prayer, “Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep” provide His solace.
Rid long hours of worry that bring chaos to my world.
Allay my fears so the bright river of God may flow.

The night is so dark yet so beautiful. The poetry brings out all it's soft, soothing brilliance and glory. There is also an enchanting, magical element to the night I felt, reading this amazing poetry. The ultimate surrender to God just adds to my joy, reading it. Appreciated and loved so much.

I agree dear friend and you are welcome.
When one finds oneself in a a dark place, hold your nerve, keep faith and look for that small chink of light to set you free !

Wonderfully crafted Sheila, when in despair trust in prayer !

Thanks Sean! This piece was fun to "darken".......LOL
We all get lost in the darkness so we can find the light and the right to shine.
Beautiful and inspiring work.

You weave a magic spell, Sheila. I guessed that 'demesne' was related to a domain of some kind, but isn't it wonderful that with a flick of a finger, an abstrusness, ( for me ) can fade away. I loved the format, I can see I've got a lot to learn about conjuring that up.
