Aftermath

Aftermath

A Poem by Wynter Page
"

how do those eyes see me?

"

I see you in my dreams,

I never say a word.

I hear you even when

the world is full of silence.

I feel as though you can always see me,

whether through your mind,

or your broken heart.

How do those eyes see me?

If sadness itself could talk

with it's own trained voice,

what would yours say about me?

Would it comfort you at night

by damning everything I am?

Justifying every minute you spend

looking away from me, looking the other way...

Turning your back is a difficult endeavor...yet this verse --- calls a measure in a much more defining moment...gets at the heart of it all...makes you really dig deep:

Would it comfort you at night
by damning everything I am?
Justifying every minute you spend
looking away from me, looking the other way...

much depth there..WP...you could read it a thousand times...and still kills the defeat...
