Permanence

Permanence

A Poem by Wynter Page

Such a permanence of restlessness

I feel all over me,

wanting to crawl out of my skin

and right into yours.

I don't want to be without you

ever,

but you're always so far away

from me.

I need to break out,

I need to get out

and fly so high above you all,

I need to land

right on your lips.

I need you to ground me.

Then I need you to let me go.
