LullabyA Poem by Ariesfind your treeopen your eyes, child and submit yourself to the black of night to a heavy forest as far as you can see with twisted trees as tall as aeons and the gelid scent of ancient despair that drips from every branch luring predators from worlds away you could travel miles in search of safety notching each tree in your path huddled against the storm and armed for war or you may curl up where you began it's become so warm here you could just sleep the storm away beneath my blanket of frost whichever path you take will lead you to me this is a truth that you cannot escape heed my words now drift back to your cradle, elder one close your weary eyes at long last and fall forever into sleep
