This Teddy Bear

Life from a simple teddy bear's point of view.

If only you knew,

I wish you could see,

There's a soul in here too,

I'm alive as can be.

I've seen your tears,

Warm hugs as well,

All of your fears,

I've heard you tell.

You forgot me for so long,

I was so alone,

What had I done wrong?

Have I been replaced with that phone?

I feel calm once more,

You've left it aside and come to sleep,

You hug me tight like before,

Your face cuddling in deep.

You seem to cry for a boy,

Wiping your tears on me, 

I'm just a soft toy

But that's not all you see.

You tell me of how,

You wish we could be real friends of old

And be there right now,

For I know all those secrets you've told.

I promise, its alright,

I'll always be here,

Cry till you sleep, into the night,

Just have me near.
