Promise

Promise

A Poem by Brandon

It was one day

The day of the school play

I told you about it everyday

You said you would show

When I reminded you

You said “I know”

The play just began

Everyone there but you

As the tears ran

I thought what did I do?

There I am staring

Without saying a peep

Promises are like bonds

And something you always keep

Promises broken are a difficult thing sometimes. This was another great piece for you. Good job!

I enjoyed this poem. It was definately short sweet and to the point. Its unbelivable how many people ruin their character by not keeping a simple promise. Its sad that it happens within the family the most. If you can't trust them than who can you trust???? Good job on this one.

awww that was great. Sad but it does happen. Broken promises hurt I know but it only makes you a stronger person in the end. Great write.. :D

I like this sad little write. It happens though. If this was something you went through I am sorry you had to go through this.
