Walking down

The sidewalk path

One guy, One girl

You do the math

 

As you walk past

Each other that day

Your eyes will meet

And hearts lead the way

 

You'll get the feeling

As will she

Love at first sight?

Just might be

 

You say hello

As does he

You start to wonder

Does she like me?

 

So the talk begins

And continues on

Haven't hardly moved

As you stand on the lawn

 

It's one of those connections

That happens out of chance

Love at first site

Drawn in by some sort of trance

 

Later down the road

He tries to do the math

Where would they be

If they never crossed paths

the eyes meet..lips quiver..the heart beats..so much shiver
there is lots of wondering in each mind..each thinking on his side
is this true love..am i walking my path that i should..
is he the one who should tread with me along..between these trees
i want to ask ..but i fear everything..he is so near that why i fear
is he really the one for me..should i follow my heart
or just drop everything and turn back

I love this! It is so beautifully written. I love your choice of words and the way you put this together. I love how you put, 'then you start to wonder, does she like me?' Truth is a lot of the time...yes. I only hope that the math will work in my favor some day. Thank you for this beautiful poem.
