Rains

Rains

A Poem by oranges_melt
"

Let it fall.

"

It's too late for love,
it's too late to hope,
if that's what you think,
it's too late to cope.

Things could be different,
if you gave me your love,
if you gave me your heart,
and the hope from above.

Things could have been,
something love can't undo,
but things aren't that simple,
like tying a shoe.

I like it when it rains,
when the world is full of stars,
to the greasy fries at McDonalds,
to the honks and horns of cars.

I like it when we're together,
I like it when we're free,
things could be different,
if it were you and me.

Just give me a chance,
and give me your word,
whisper in my ear,
because it's absurd.

I know it feels right,
and all that you are,
I will always love you,
no matter how far.

We could hold hands,
and smile a time,
or I would not be here,
doing this rhyme.

I like it when it rains,
and when it shines a while,
I like it when you look at me,
and when you start to smile.

Give me your air,
and give me a hug,
give me a notice,
a poke or a tug.

A sign that you're here,
a sign that you love,
a sign to bring hope,
a beauty-white dove.

Please don't look away,
or stab me with pains,
because I love you too much,
and I love when it rains.
