Maybe Tomorrow

Maybe Tomorrow

A Poem by oranges_melt
"

find out.

"
When depression hurts
it gives me a new meaning
a new way to look around
and I see that it's not found
in this town.
but I can't help but try
and see for myself.
As long as you do it for yourself.
And you'll see that I'm
exactly
where I'm supposed to be.
Hey, maybe
if you'd give me a chance
like angels with demons
like fairies who dance
maybe you'd see
just how I could never let myself
be just me.
The way I'm supposed to be.
Maybe tomorrow
when you find a new spot light
you'll realise where I'm going
and why I won't come back.
You'll see that in this town
it's my path it will lack-
In my future. I can't seem
to picture this town...
my future. It's my destiny.
When you look far enough
you'll see my misery.
And see why I left
so soon. So long ago
I had never known.
Why I left.
Maybe tomorrow
you'll see why I'm gone
It's been too long.
I know, just hold on for today
because there's always a tomorrow.
Maybe tomorrow
you'll see.
Just maybe.

Really feelin the free-style rhyme-scheme here. I thought the ending though was a bit convoluted. From here...

"When you look far enough
you'll see my misery.
And see why I left
so soon. So long ago
I had never known.
Why I left.
Maybe tomorrow
you'll see why I'm gone
It's been too long.
I know, just hold on for today
because there's always a tomorrow.
Maybe tomorrow
you'll see.
Just maybe"

...on out I was just confused as to whether or not the narrator really wanted to leave or was just looking for a little sympathy. Nice read though.
