Open Your Eyes

to the future you despise.

See over the hills

look over the trees

watch over the kids

more than the eye sees.

Think over your choices

make sure of your thought

because later this time

the cradle won't rock

petition for freedom

believe in your wisdom

this time no protection

with life there's no condom.

open your eyes

and what do you see?

the static, its tragic

we people aren't free.

listen to people

and what do you hear?

complaints and the whining

they down it with beer.

if life is so tough

then why are they lying?

sitting around, complaining and dying?

open your eyes

is this what you see?

the remains of a country

the land of the free?

the ground is polluted

the streams are dried up

but don't fret there's still beer

so round me a cup.

we'll drink our way out

the natural way

cuz nobody cares

there's nothing to say.

the tears and the people

we're dirty remains

at least we'll remember
