When I Go

When I Go

A Poem by oranges_melt

There's a monster on the outside

and a misery in between.

There's a liar waiting for me

but inside its obscene.

a tale behind every lie

and a lie behind every truth

and the truth's just short of a witness

because no one is a sleuth.

everyone can see,

that there is a monster in me,

there are the scars of the past,

as the problems unfold,

all the blemishes I have,

all the people act cold.

I feel like I am wearing a mask,

because it's so obscene to be this way,

though I love who I am,

they don't want me to stay.

They make me feel like a monster,

I guess now I should go,

but the ones who aren't worthy,

I'm the one who will know.
