Once More

Solitude

The Cold beneath me

Beneath my being

Proof enough of the warmth

Fleeting it extends, crawling

Never promised and never concrete

But always welcome, all the same

This thing is anything but a dream

To me it seems life is but a game

Never concede, forever forward

One last try,

Into the breach dear friends

Once more

I reach up to the heavens

I grasp for glory

Once more

A struggle to survive

Never-ending
