I Miss You, Dear

I Miss You, Dear

A Poem by Jill Wallflower
"

This poem is about a girl who misses her sister, who died as a still-born

"

I never really knew you

But i miss you heaps

That horrible grim reaper

you he had to reap

I wish you were here

I'd always have a friend

But before your life started

It just had to end

I wish i visited your grave

every single day

I will always miss you

In every single way

In a way

I never knew you

The moments we shared

were very few

I wish that you

were always near

I always wish

That you were here

I wish you lived

stayed alive

but you had to die

in 1995

A powerful and sad poem. Is hard on a woman when she lost her baby. It was a part of her. I like the emotion of the poem. The hope and wishes will always stay for a baby lost before it had a chance to live. A excellent poem. Thank you.

Adelie said it all.
Beautiful, but definetly sad.

The simplicity is what makes is nice. Poems don't always have to be complex with big words or certain rhymes schemes, as long the emotion is prominent and you did well. Great job.
