Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror

A Poem by xmfame

Mirror, Mirror

On the wall,

Expose my truth, fears, flaws

And all

Inside I hide a world of hurt whose

Pain is never ending.

But it is my body in which I choose

To show no cracks from bending.

A smile for a smile,

A laugh for a joke,

But when I hear the words inside of me,

They’re hesitated; I choke.

An expression of truth,

Faded by fear, and ridicule and sense of

Inadequacy.

But before I learned such tragic life

It was me I lived for and now long for

Nostalgia.

And now time has given up,

Withered are thy day.

To break the spell, curse me

7 year bad luck,

But thy judgement fade away.

Mirror, Mirror

On the wall,

Expose my truth, fears, flaws

And all.

To free me from this fatal thought

I have to hear my song.

Mirror, mirror, mirror, mirror;

Mirror, mirror

Gong.
