Hearts Don't Break Here

you cry till your eyes sting but your heart isn't breaking

you feel the urge to leave the harsh world that has tormented you for years 

yet this feeling doesn't make your heart burst

you hate the feeling of the cold metal when it meets your skin

yet you don't do it because your heart is shattered

because hearing those three words escape his lips still rings in your ears

and with him there you know hearts don't break here
